El Instituto Federal de Acceso a la Información Pública (IFAI) es el órgano de la Administración Pública Federal mexicana (APF) encargado de vigilar el cumplimiento de la Ley Federal de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública Gubernamental (Ley) en el Poder Ejecutivo Federal, a través de la promoción del ejercicio del derecho de acceso a la información, la resolución sobre la negativa a las solicitudes de acceso a la información, y la protección de los datos personales en poder de las dependencias y entidades.
