Corett es un organismo orientado  principalmente a la regularización de la  tenencia de la tierra en asentamientos  humanos irregulares en tierras de origen  ejidal, comunal y de propiedad federal,  mediante la expropiación con el consenso de todos los involucrados, para su  posterior regularización y escrituración  de lotes a favor de las familias que los  ocupan.
